A Unitarian Universalist Multigenerational Ministry Resource

Dollars and Sense

Does your budget reflect a commitment to Mulitgenerational Ministry? I don’t imagine it’s a line item. Most likely, there are some resources dedicated to a children’s program, perhaps even a line item for youth or adult education. But I wonder, are there monies in your budget earmarked specifically for adults or elders?

In the book, Reaching People Under 40 While Keeping People Over 60: Being Church for All Generations, Hammett and Pierce write,
“Allocate limited resources to target those over sixty and those under 40. You’ll win the support of those over 60 in reaching those under 40 if they don’t feel the church is turning its back on them.”

What do you think?
